Addressing an invited audience, leading figures from the worlds of education and politics, a 9/11 survivor, and a son and nephew of two of the 67 British victims who lost their lives on that tragic day recalled the events of that tragic day, and the lessons to be learnt.
Speakers reflected on the importance of the legacy and learnings of that terrible day, and the important work of SINCE 9/11. Chairman and founder of the charity, Peter Rosengard, made an impassioned speech underlining the importance of, and continuing need for, the work of the charity twenty years after the event that changed so many lives. An anniversary which was made poignantly more relevant as Coalition troops finally left Afghanistan.
