Staff training: Understanding redicalisation & extremism

60 or 90 minute training session for Senior Leadership Teams in the education sector and safeguarding professionals

Training Offer: “Understanding Radicalisation” available to professionals in London for a limited time.

SINCE 9/11 is pleased to offer a limited number of professional training for a range of organisations and sectors based in London and the South-East. The training is designed for Senior Leadership/ Pastoral Teams in the education sector, and safeguarding professionals from different sectors seeking to enhance their knowledge of terrorism, extremism and radicalisation.

SINCE 9/11 recognises that it can be difficult for those responsible for safeguarding individuals from radicalisation with limited training and information available which closely examines the processes and messaging behind people becoming involved in terrorism.

The package: “Understanding Radicalisation” gives a detailed look at the drivers of radicalisation, as well as a close examination of terrorist ideology and the messaging which results. The training is designed to enhance and build upon knowledge gained from prior training such as WRAP (Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent).

Outcomes:

  • Improved understanding of radicalisation
  • Improved ability to challenge extremist narratives in the classroom
  • Increased confidence in understanding and discussing terrorist/extremist ideology
  • Increased awareness of the types of messaging which terrorist and extremist groups use both offline & online

Delegates will also receive hard copies and USB copies of the SINCE 9/11 Education Programme.

As SINCE 9/11 is a registered UK Charity, training costs are extremely competitive. To make an enquiry, please contact: info@since911.com

The workshop delivered by SINCE 9/11 was superb. Liam delivered with passion, expert knowledge and a keenness to share ideas with his audience. A complex and ever changing subject such as Terrorism and Radicalisation was delivered in a methodical and relatable way meaning that the participants were able to apply their learning to their own professional / personal contexts. To consolidate this, Liam encouraged the group to think of real and practical things that they could do in order to reduce the risks of radicalisation. This meant that the participants left with not only a greater level of understanding, but also equipped with ideas that they could implement into their organisations. Thank you for coming to deliver for us Liam, it was a pleasure to be involved with your work and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.
